The "Oak Room" situated in the Tavistock Hotel would be the ideal place for a romantic evening or to entertain that special client. It has it's own chef and the menu is superb! Breakers and Rosie O'Grady's is also situated in the Tavistock hotel. "Breakers" caters for the family, including a menu for the children. Specials are run each weekday. "Dax" is situated at the end of Peel Street (about 1-minute walk) and has a wonderful outdoor area for summer dining and a warm cosy interior for winter dining. A great place for a wonderful steak! "The Stables" is just around the corner from us and serves a hearty home cooked style meal. They are more than happy to arrange for a take out meal for you should you wish to come back and enjoy it in your room. The" Leopard Hotel" caters bar snacks and a generous evening meal, from pork chops to pizzas. There are several takeaway shops in the main street and a wonderful Indian Restaurant round the corner. Out the back gate is Civic Theatre; meals by arrangement.
